Yukon Day

A Yukon delegation, led by Premier Dennis Fentie, travelled to Ottawa in Febraury 2009.

The premier met with the Prime Minister and federal ministers in Ottawa. Also, Yukon artists and performers were showcased at Yukon Days at Winterlude.

Ministers Elaine Taylor, Brad Cathers and Jim Kenyon accompanied the premier in Ottawa, and met with their federal counterparts.

The premier also addressed a well-attended Public Policy Forum, where he provided an overview of Yukon and the emerging North, and attended Yukon Days cultural performances.

Premier Dennis Fentie lead a delegation of Yukon ministers to Ottawa for meetings with federal counterparts in February 2009. In addition to meetins with Prime Minister Stephen arper and other federal counterparts, Yukon hosted a breakfast for the Public Policy Forum of Canada and a reception in Ottawa.

Yukon artists and performers were at Winterlude 2009, showcasing our culture to a national audience.

The Yukon delegation included Sundog Carvers, breakdancers Groundwork Sessions, First People's Performances and the Yukon snow carving team.
